THIS IS NO JOKE

The Orcas school board has threatened to close, and doze the park.

There have been far too many skaters ignoring the local helmet policy. It has gone past good manners. Some loud mouth told a member of the school board "F#@k you old lady, you can't tell me what to do" ... she had just informed him of the helmet rule, and asked him if he had one.

The school's insurance carrier insists on the helmet rule. They heard from someone (?) and sent their "risk assesment" folks out here. They were non-plussed.

Our park may be closed if we can't fix this.
